Laurynas Rimsas - Sailing Coach and Administrative Coordinator
Laurynas began sailing at his home town club in Kaunas Lithuania. He quickly progressed to the Laser where he began to compete internationally and became an integral part of Team SailCoach. Laurynas has represented his country at World and European level and won several national titles before turning his hand to coaching. Laurynas has enjoyed many successes as a coach guiding his athletes to several Europa Cup triumphs and has specialised in developing very popular 4.7 clinics which have delivered a number of top results at World level. His main role now is looking after the SailCoach Foundation's administration and logistics, however he still enjoys getting out of the office from time to time to get on the water keeping his hand in coaching.

Simon Wheeler - Sailing Coach and Physical Training lead
From Poole in Great Britain, Simon is a graduate of Southampton University where he studied Biochemistry. Simon was a member of the Team GBR elite sailing squad where he campaigned a 49er for several years and has had notable sailing success at underage level. Having come through the RYA Youth Academy, he won the 29er Youth World Championships in 2005 as well as Youth Match Racing and Cadet national titles. Simon's two-person boat experience brings a sharp tactical and strategic awareness to his coaching, and a strong strength and conditioning background brings a professional and up to date approach to our fitness training at SailCoach.

Aron's sailing track record speaks for itself. He has been Optimist class world champion as well as Laser Radial world champion and has been racing at the top of the Laser Standard class for a number of years. Aron is a product of the infamous Croatian conveyor belt of sailing talent, and he trained in Split with arguably the most competitive and talent rich National team in world sailing. He has an extraordinary work ethic and great passion for coaching, with all of the sailors he has trained thoroughly satisfied that they have become considerably quicker and learnt a great deal from one of the worlds fastest Laser sailors. Aron is easily recognisable in the motor boat as he likes to wear his hiking pants when coaching and often jumps into the Laser to demonstrate techniques! Hugely popular, Aron may also perform one of his legendary singing routines if you're lucky, a man of many talents.
Allan Julie - sailing coach
A veteran of 4 Olympic Games, Allan brings an unprecedented wealth of Laser experience to SailCoach. Allan has seen the Laser develop from its inception into the Olympics in 1996 when he qualified for his first Games, right up to the present day where he is still racing at the highest level. From the Seychelles, Allan has won a number of African Games medals, Indian Ocean Games medals, Europa cup medals and has been ranked in the top 10 in the Laser World Rankings. He has broke the mould of world sailing by being one of very few African athletes to reach the top of our sport, and he has been a stalwart of Team SailCoach for over a decade as he made his extraordinary Laser journey under the guidance of the SailCoach Foundation. Allan's ability to make a Laser go fast, as well as his knowledge of Laser fleet racing, gives the athletes under his guidance a huge opportunity to develop and learn from the best.
